Pineapple Park is a social playground for sports, leisure, and culture. In the future, visitors can look forward to a diverse range of sports and recreational activities, as well as an exciting array of exhibitions.

Beginning in February 2025, the area will transform every Friday and Saturday into the vibrant Midnight Bazar - a gathering place for night owls, explorers, and connoisseurs.

Together on the hall's behalf for everyone

Dr. Julian Petrin has been an urbanist and urban researcher for over 20 years. He is a member of the German Academy for Urban and Regional Planning (DASL) and was appointed to the Convention of the Federal Foundation for Building Culture in 2012. From 2020 to 2022, he was an interim professor for Smart City Solutions at the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences. He is also a co-founder of the Urban Change Academy, established in 2020. In this article, he offers his perspective on the extensive public participation of Munich’s residents in shaping ideas for the redesign of the Postpaket Areal, and reflects on the extraordinary transformation of the former Paketposthalle (parcel post hall) into a multifunctional venue for exhibitions and cultural events.
